Who are you most inspired by?

it’s a mix of people, but if i had to pick one it would be my own mom

• she raised me mostly on her own, blasted loud music, dyed her hair crazy colors, and refused to shrink herself for anyone

• she taught me how to stand up for what i want even when it looks messy to everyone else

• now that i’m pregnant and building my own life, i keep thinking about how she did it all while still being soft and loving

• other than her, i’m inspired by women like joan jett and kathleen hanna who lived loud and unapologetic

• and even some of the old school anarchist writers who said fuck the system and built their own rules

• but mostly it’s the version of me i’m trying to become

• the one who’s soft enough to be a wife and mom but still wild enough to blast loud music and get railed by her husband at 2am

• i’m inspired by anyone who’s brave enough to be fully themselves, even when it’s complicated

• that’s the energy i want to carry into motherhood
