How Do You Unwind After a Demanding Day?

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

After a long, tiring day, here’s how we actually unwind:

– We come straight home and get comfy. I usually change into one of his big t-shirts and nothing else while he kicks off his work clothes.

– First thing is always a long hug or me jumping into his arms the second he walks through the door. That immediate skin-to-skin contact resets both of us.

– Then we usually end up on the couch together. Sometimes we read our Kindles side-by-side, sometimes we watch something easy, but most of the time we’re just tangled up — my head on his chest, his hand in my hair or rubbing my feet.

– A warm shower together is one of our favorites. Nothing fancy, just standing under the hot water holding each other, washing each other’s backs, and letting the day melt off.

– We love quiet nights with no big plans. Maybe a glass of wine or a cup of tea, some pizza or whatever we’re craving, and zero pressure to be productive.

– And honestly… a lot of the time we end up making love. Slow, lazy, or sometimes a little rough — whatever feels right. It’s our favorite way to release all the built-up tension from the day.

– At the end of it all, we fall asleep wrapped around each other. That’s the best unwinding there is.
