Trump and his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth keep acting like they can bomb Iran into submission and everyone will just cheer. Threats to destroy power plants, bridges, and infrastructure. Deadlines. “Finish the job” talk. They genuinely seem shocked that Iranians aren’t waving American flags in the streets.
– Newsflash: when you attack a country, kill their leaders, threaten their civilian infrastructure, and act like their entire civilization is disposable, people don’t surrender. They rally. Right now Iranians—women and children included—are forming human chains around energy sites and bridges. They’re standing together, not breaking. That’s not weakness. That’s exactly what humans do when someone tries to bully them into the Stone Age.
– Hegseth and Trump are out here talking like this is a quick victory lap. They didn’t learn from Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other war where “shock and awe” turned into endless mess. You don’t radicalize a population by bombing them and then act surprised when they get more united.
– This isn’t about defending anyone anymore. It’s ego, oil money, and looking tough on TV while gas prices spike and the world watches another empire overreach. Iran isn’t folding. They’re digging in. And every new threat just hands their government more reasons to say “see? We told you.”
We keep saying the same thing: violence and threats create the exact opposite of what you claim you want. If you actually wanted peace or stability, you wouldn’t be threatening to turn an entire nation’s lights off.
History isn’t that complicated. Bullies don’t win hearts. They create resistance.
