Anarchy & Christianity: Not Enemies, Just Long-Lost Siblings by RebelZva & CaptXBonnot ♱ 2026

Everyone says they’re opposites. They’re wrong.

Here’s the receipts, straight from the text:

1. Jesus was an anarchist

• Flipped tables in the temple (direct action against financial exploitation)

• “The Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21) — no hierarchy, no pope, no state

• Hung out with tax collectors, sex workers, and lepers (the original mutual-aid crew)

• Told a rich guy to sell everything and give it to the poor (Matthew 19:21) — literal wealth redistribution

2. The early church was a commune

• Acts 4:32–35: “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own… there were no needy persons among them.”

• That’s anarchist communism, straight from the Bible.

3. “Render unto Caesar” is the ultimate troll

• Jesus didn’t say “pay your taxes happily.”

• He said give Caesar what is Caesar’s (nothing) and give God what is God’s (everything).

• Classic separation of church and state… by a guy who hated the state.

4. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath

• Mark 2:27 — rules exist to serve people, not the other way around.

• That’s the entire anarchist critique of law in one sentence.

5. Anarchy’s “no rulers” vs. Christianity’s “one King”

• Anarchy says no human rulers.

• Jesus says the only legitimate ruler is love, voluntary and self-sacrificial.

• Same energy, different language.

The state and the institutional church teamed up to sell you a lie: that Christianity means obedience to empires, flags, and billionaires. It doesn’t. It means feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the prisoner, and flipping tables when the powerful exploit the weak.

Anarchy and Christianity aren’t opposites. They’re the same rebellion wearing different clothes.

No gods but God. No masters but Love.
