• #1, obviously: each other. like, duh. i’d choose sitting on the couch in silence with cptxbonnet over a sold-out festival any day. he laughs at my weird snorts, kisses my forehead when i’m crying over nothing, and still looks at me like i’m hot even when i’m bloated and wearing his hoodie like a trash bag.

• dominus (our actual child): tiny tux ring-bearer, professional blanket hog, drool machine, and the only creature allowed to interrupt sex for zoomies.

• Jay & Melissa : our ride-or-die besties who’ve seen us ugly-cry in denny’s parking lots at 3am and still show up with monster energy and black hair dye.

• the old punk dude at the record store who calls us “kids” and slips us free vinyl when we’re broke.

• literally anyone who doesn’t flinch when we talk about tor, periods, or our weird cemetery wedding photos.

honorable mention: the versions of ourselves we get to be when we’re together (loud, soft, messy, safe, laughing so hard we can’t breathe). those are our favorite people too.
